Ayia Napa is larger than most holiday resorts and is quite spaced out. Coming from the west you have Nissi Beach, this is the prime location for tourists during the day. Coming along Nissi Avenue where you will find shops, banks and some restaurants and also Luna Park. The Luna Park is very popular with the younger generation. Nissi Avenue is a great place for retail therapy as is also the main town centre. Here you can find mainly Bars, Clubs and Restaurants and also the Harbour. Most accommodation is set in and around the town centre for easy access to everything.
Ayia Napa is famous for it’s night life. With a wide range of bars and clubs,and music to everyones taste. Whether its live music, rock, hip-hop, R&B or pop, or if you just looking for a classic English Pub with great food and beer, there is something for everyone. Heading east more you will come to Cape Grecko. This is a national park and is very popular with hikers, walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. Not forgetting divers and fishermen too. This is also a great spot if you are a sucker for sun rises.
March/April time you will see business’ start to prepare for the summer season and some opening, by May everywhere is set for the upcoming season to begin.
June and July the average age group drops dramatically as this is prime time for British visitors and Hardcore Clubbers. Big events and celebrity appearances are often during this time. Going through till August it’s still busy here but mainly with families and various nationalities. It is also when Cypriots have their holidays and head for coastal resorts.
Come September you still get a wide range of nationalities and age groups visit Ayia Napa, the temperature drops a little during the day and the nights can get a little chilly. From mid September to early November you will see hotels and restaurants preparing to shut for the low season
